K. S. Donlan Heir Search is an independently operated firm that locates missing heirs and beneficiaries to estates, guardianships, and trusts. Founded by Kimberly Seitz Donlan, we specialize in cases that are governed by Massachusetts law, and identify heirs worldwide.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Ms. Donlan has extensive experience in:

Conducting forensic genealogy research to identify the descendants of deceased persons and to determine their legatees, heirs-at-law and/or successors-in-interest.

Identifying and interpreting all applicable probate court documents filed in testate estates and in ascertaining the heirs-at-law in intestate estates in accordance with Massachusetts law in effect at the time of death (intestacy laws in the Commonwealth were revised in 1901, 1978, and 2012).

Investigating and tracing the whereabouts of the heirs once they have been identified.
Ms. Donlan has engaged in research and genealogy since 1988, covering decedents whose deaths occurred from the mid-1800's to the present. Her reports have disclosed from several to more than 75 heirs in one chain alone.
